Sidam’s history roots back to January 1991, when Graziano Azzolini – built upon an extensive expertise in the sector dating back to 1966 – founded the company alongside Isabella Guidetti..

Through targeted strategic acquisitions, such as BTC Medical Europe in 2016 and Emotec in 2021, Sidam progressively consolidated its structure and expanded its industrial capabilities.

Through advanced fluid dynamics studies and the use of biocompatible materials, closed-circuit valves and connectors have been developed to ensure the highest safety standards during drug compounding and handling. The device stands out for high maneuverability and extraordinary ease of use in daily clinical practice, optimizing workflows without compromising on protection;
• Surgery and regenerative therapies: collaboration with leading scientific institutes, such as the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital, has led to high-tech and high-emotional-impact projects, including the development of a dynamic esophageal stent.

Alongside technical complexity, Sidam also translates innovationclinical empathy. An example is the "Endy Project", an illustrated fable titled "The Magic Endoscope", also created in collaboration with the Bambino Gesù Hospital. This editorial tool was designed to explain gastroscopy to pediatric patients, reducing emotional impact and pre-intervention trauma, demonstrating how medical technology can and must be designed with a human touch.
